  • It’s been emotional

Last night will be forever etched into my mind. It was one of the most emotional nights of my life. My sister, Maria, and Sis. Lisa Cianchetta, affectionately knows to us as Nona, pulled off one of the biggest surprises of my life with the help of my mom, Sis. Ezell and I’m sure many others. It all started after church on Sunday morning when James told me that he would like to take us out for dinner after church that evening. I said sure and passed the word on to David. Lately, we’ve been meeting up with all of our friends for dinner or lunch before we finally make the move to PA, so, this was not unusual. So, Sunday night arrived, we spent the afternoon with Nate and Amanda and had great fun, and everything was normal. Little did I know that people were secretly waiting for David, Cylas and I to arrive at Sis. Ezell’s house where the biggest ever surprise going-away party was awaiting us. First of all, it took for eeevvver for James to leave and I was getting worried as to how Cylas was going to hold up once we got to the restaurant. Finally, an hour after church we were on our way to Red Robin with a pit stop at Sis. Ezell’s because it was Anna’s B-day and James wanted to stop in for a minute or two. There were so many cars on the street, by the time we got there, that we had to circle the block and park pretty far away. James and Emily met us on the sidewalk and James asked casually “Do you know how old Anna is turning?”. I told him I didn’t know, that I never know anything around here and that I didn’t even know she was having a party tonight. We made our way to the door and James flung it open….there was a huge group of people standing there screaming “SURPRISE!!!” and I just looked at them like they were stupid because…what, do I LOOK like Anna!? I tried waiting for them to stop screaming so I could tell them that they made a mistake…but, they kept staring at me and saying “Surprise”. And then, it hit me….it WAS for me…it was for us…they were throwing a party for us…. I felt my head grow slightly dizzy and I fell backwards out of the door and hit the side of the house. I looked up and everyone was still there…and then, I started crying, really hard. My mind couldn’t fathom that everyone was there for us. They pushed me through door and all I could do was hug people and cry and thank them for coming. As I looked around, I saw they had posted a huge map of the U.S and on it people had signed their names and well wishes for our journey. Once again, I was over come with the immense feeling of love. They even took up a love offering which was greatly needed…it’s going to help with gas money. Even as I write this blog, my eyes are full of tears…it’s the greatest feeling in the world to know that you are loved. So many faces were there last night that have helped me “to become”. I would not be where I am today without them. How can you repay those who have given such invaluable time, love and effort to you?? I’ll never be the same after yesterday. I felt empowered by their gracious show of support. Thank you…each of you. I hope my being at the Rock Church has touched people. I really do. I don’t feel like I’ve really done much with my life…all I’ve ever done is just “be there”. But, for what it’s worth I love you all…..
    Forever indebted,

    The cost of nachos $.50/plate
    The cost of lemonade $.25/cup
    The cost of snacks $40
The cost of seeing Misha’s face when the door flung open at her party….PRICELESS.

We love you, Misha! And my only complaint is that David was “in the know”, because I would have paid to see him overcome with emotion! haha

You guys will be missed. See you in Pennsylvania in a year or two when Em and I visit.

p.s. I have no idea how much everything costs…but that would be tacky and in poor taste to actually list the true cost of things.
People love you…that’s all I know.

Meeeeeeeesh, Maria sent me an invitation via email. If you haven’t seen it, you’ve got to.. its priceless (seems to be the word of the day). She did a fabulous job and it is totally you. She wanted to send me one just so I was up on everything. I wish soooooo bad I could have been there to see your face when they opened the door. You guys totally deserved that. You truly are loved by so many people. You are a rare gem. Isn’t it great to know you have been surrounded by people who dearly love you? You are going far away from there but I just know that everyone you meet will fall in love with you the same way you’ve made everyone thus far. I love you sooooo much and am so glad it was a really special night for you. My only sadness is that I was not there to share it with you =(

i wasn’t there, but I heard it was awesome! Love you lots and you will be sorely missed!
