  • Holiday Cheer and a birthday to boot!

So, Christmas Day our family packed up and headed out to NYC to visit my dad and step-mom. I was also anxiously awaiting the arrival of my younger sister Maria. After picking her up from her small rental studio in the Upper East Side, we went back to my dad’s opened gifts and had Christmas dinner. What wonderful surprises were to be had! Cylas made out like a little bandit. Isn’t it every kid’s wish to get a Curious George flashlight, a guitar, train set table, a Mr. Potato Head, Elmo slippers and tons of other special gifts to help him learn how to count and recite his ABC’s. He didn’t know where to start with all of his new toys and tools. Now Roma, on the other hand, just floated around the room from one person’s arms to the next while her gifts were opened by me. Soon, she’ll be enjoying a whole set of binky’s, a mobile, cute little outfits and many other useful items.

And then, there was my birthday. Saturday I turned 28…is that unbelievable or what?? I’m 28 with two children and well… *sigh* a lot left to learn in life. But, my 28th birthday had to be one of the most memorable. My dad treated us to Grease on Broadway!! Talk about a great time and afterward good food. We stepped across the block to eat at a Vietnamese Restaurant. All around this year’s Christmas and birthday topped the charts.
Here we are during intermission cheesin’ in the middle aisle!

You look gorgeous Meesh. Oh my word. You do not look like you just had a baby… your complexion, the sparkle in your eyes… pure beauty. I love you and am so happy you had a great Christmas and birthday.

Roma looks adorable!!! She is such a happy baby :-)

Glad Cylas likes his Christmas present.
