These two photos were taken today. I couldn’t resist. She is just sooo cute. She is 9mo and growing fast.

And I was a delinquent and neglected to sit down and keep you all updated! Sorry. But, it’s not too late to share a few photos and maybe a recipe or two!? In short, as I quickly flip through all of my photos to jog my memory, we have been here, done that, cooked a little, canned a little and taken up bag piping. JUST kidding. No bag piping for me. Had a neighbor who used to bagpipe. Bout to drove me crazy. I had to send David over there to ask him to PIPE down! It was not good medicine for an eight month pregnant woman who desperately needed her sleep. Ok, bagpipe horror stories aside…please enjoy these:

    Elmo…Cy’s new buddy.

Roma learned to hold her own bottle! It’s been so hard getting her to at least try. But, now she’s a pro. One day she couldn’t the next, she grabbed it from me and since that day has become a pro.

This me. This me teaching. This me teaching the youth at the church here. Wow. Sans my guitar. Next time I’ll have my guitar.
I’ve done a lot in my life but making bows has not been a priority for me. Now, all of a sudden it is. And this bow is my first attempt. There will be many, many more to come…*sigh* Having a girl did this to me.

You know your little boy is growing up when he makes his OWN BED?!? Shocker. But true… and he did a wonderful job! I had to take a photo. It was right before church and I was in his room looking for something when his insanely neat bed caught my eye. I knew that I hadn’t made it and I know Skyler didn’t make it. So I asked him if he did and he nodded his head proudly and I showered him with kisses. He posed. It’s in the memory books now, folks.

This photo is of Skyler on his first day of school here in PA. He caught the bus. Every morning he is up by 6:15am. He pulls out his clothing the night before. And early the next morning makes his own breakfast and then waits dutifully by the mailbox for the big, yellow bus to come and get him. He is having a blast.

Here is a yummy recipe for you all: City Chicken

    • 2 pounds Boneless, Skinless Chicken (cubed)
    • ½ cups Flour
    • ½ teaspoons Garlic Salt
    • ¼ teaspoons Pepper
    • ¼ cups Butter
    • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
    • 1 envelope Onion Soup Mix
    • 1 can Chicken Broth
    • 1 cup Water

    Thread meat onto skewers.

Combine flour, garlic salt and pepper in bag. Add skewers and shake until covered with flour mixture.

In large skillet, heat butter and oil over medium heat.

    Brown kabobs, turning frequently. Drain.

Sprinkle with soup mix. Add broth and water.

Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes.

Serve with the gravy over mashed potatoes or rice.
