  • Do you know the Muffin Man…

I have been waiting for this night for the past two weeks!  Just recently, I discovered one of the mom’s in a play group I attend teaches a music preparatory class.  D and I have been wanting to get the children involved in some sore of structured learning classes for quite some time and the prospect of having our children in this program was just exhilarating.
My younger sister is a piano performance major and has traveled the world many times over, but unfortunately she lives on the West coast while I shiver it out over here on the East coast.  So, while I can’t have my very talented sister teach our children, I can have a very qualified and sweet mom that I know do it instead!
Roma was nearly beside herself with glee and jumped around giggling the whole time.

Truth be told — life of the party.  That’s what she was.

We sang, tapped out knees, tickled our noses and trotted like ponies.

When they pulled out the big family drum, Roma wasn’t too sure she wanted to join in, but a few beats later she was all for it.

Cylas was eager to join in, but it wasn’t his time…he refused to wait in the hall with the other children so he stuck around.  *ehm, so did his hair!*

And, then, finally, the last song was sung, all the mats were put back and it was Cy’s turn to make music!

I took Roma out in the hall with me to wait while Cylas bangled and jangled with the kids his age.
She was mad.  Shed a few tears and yelled at me a little.

    But, we’re all good now.

And my kids LOVE their music prep class!

Thank you Mrs. A.H for allowing us this priceless opportunity of introducing our children into the wonderful world of music.
