  • D. Door. Determined

This morning Cylas was staring off into the distance and then piped up excitedly.  “Mahma!  “B” starts with BED!  Right?”  for some reason he mixes up this sentence
Yes!  It does!  Bed starts with “b. b Beee”.

I was so excited.  Progress.  Today our session is brought to you by the letter “D” for door.

My kid surprises me.  In good ways and in bad.  Good, like today and how he remembered EVERYTHING we’ve worked on up until this point and bad like the other day when I found Roma’s hair all over the floor, in his hand a pair of scissors, a guilty look with the explination that he was “helping” her do her hair.

Yes, that’s my two year old in the background using toddler scissors and quite adeptly, too.

Today was definitely a good surprise.  He remembered how many sounds the letter “A” and “C” have and showed me all of the letters we’ve learned so far in the book we read today.  It was a really fun book, too.

Mr. Brown is so smart!  He can make all sorts of sounds!

Every page had a letter he recognized.  But before we could start reading he wanted to write his name in the cover…because it was his.

Then, we found our page.  The page with ALL the D’s!!

What fun.  And now, we’re d.d.DONE.

Tomorrow, the letter “E”.  And then we’ll be taking a break for the weekend.
