  • Of Food And Love: Does it feel as weird as it sounds?

Not sure yet.  Out of all my friends, I was one of the last ones to get married.  Well, let me rephrase that, out of all the girls I hung out with I was one of the last ones to get married.  And out of my closest friends I was one of the first to get married.

    We were both 22.

I briefly thought to try and post a picture but I won’t bother because I look the same then as I do now just a little more “aged” in my eyes.  HOnestly.  My family drank from the fountain of youth so I don’t really “age” I just get older.

    Ok, fine.  Here.

We dated for two years then waited two years after being married to start making a family.  Enter Cylas.  Whose name came from the owner of a store I frequented.  Actually, I only knew part of the owner’s name and thought to add the rest to make up Cylas.  He only had the first two letters “Cy” on his business card.  I liked it.  Thus, the name Cylas was born.

Then on May 23, 06 he came into our world
    Growing fast
    And getting seriously cute
    Got a little spunkier
    Became a big brother
…and starting to lose his baby face
    learned to love the arts
And then, what every little boy wants, a picture with the pilot!  This was taken the day before he turned 5.  Yes, I am officially the mother of a 5 year old boy.  He is so handsome, creative, thoughtful, loving, curious, intelligent and I’m so, so proud to be his mommy.
Here is to decades and decades more fun and love.
