That’s a lot of money.  Well, not really.  But it is when you’re talking about something that has a short life span.  Cylas got this shiny piece of metal for his birthday from D’s parents…  He is set on riding it.  Just about everyday he is out there practicing.

But, have any of you seen these neat Striders?  They sell for as much as $140!  Pshhh, please.  So, D set to work and made this.
What a great way to help establish a firm foundation for balance.  D spent the better part of the evening sawing off the pedals.
Cylas has fondly named it his, “balance bike”.  It’s amazing.
Over the past couple days, his ability to balance has improved immensely.
Of course, Roma is right on his heels, she is such a rascal.  She takes that big wheel barreling down the hill, legs up, mouth open and squeal on her lips.
It won’t be long, dear Cy.  You will be riding a bike on your own.

Squiddy JUST ditched the training wheels for good! Beware, severely bruised shins are in your near future!!

Oh, yes, lots and lots. And wouldn't you know, the day after this post he took off his training wheels (by himself, I only helped loosen one) and he rode! So determined. Love my baby boy.
