  • We Make Things

There is an undying love in this house for all things crafty.
D carved this with his utility knife while we were camping last month

Creativity is encouraged and silly faces are strictly re-enforced.

Cylas built this the other night.  I can’t wait until he can wield a hammer or a wrench.  My house will be a living entity by the time he is eleven.  Moving, groaning and breathing on its own…just watch.
If D is ever home for longer than a day (meaning he has a day off work), something is bound to be constructed, bolted, twisted, carved or nailed into a small masterpiece.
This, is what D calls a “man bag”.  Not to be confused with a murse.  (man purse).
Just wire fashioned around to hold more wire. HAH
Ah, and if I neglected to mention the wonderful, wonderful raspberry jam my husband made, it would be a crime.  He was offended that it took me two days to finally taste his famous jam.  You all know how much we love raspberries.  Or, as our children call it — варенье.  What’s this I see?  Six jars of fresh raspberry heaven?  Yes, please.
Oh, and remember that balance bike?  It paid off.  One day and Cy was riding a bike.  One day.  No joke.
A little dream come true for him.
