Ok, so, you know how I’m all about setting goals, achieving and just grabbing life by the list? Well, tomorrow is going to be the birth of a dream realized. I’ll be running my first ever half-marathon , down in D.C, and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s 7 in the morning and I’m typing this bleary eyed but my heart is thumping. So what, it’s only a race. Yea? It’s 13.1 miles of a race that I have trained for mentally and physically for months. Start time is 8am Saturday morning. I”ll be in corral 20. I hope I can keep my cookies down.
This is only the beginning of me and hundreds of miles of races in my future. I’m already addicted to half-marathons and I haven’t even run it yet. Honestly, if you’re even remotely interested in working out, staying healthy, looking for a way to exercise, jogging/running has got to be one of the best ways to relieve stress, calm the mind, lose weight, empower oneself, you name it, it’s done it for me.
So this weekend, join me and get up and run!
