Summer is magical. There is something about the beautiful rays of the sun shining on your face, tickling your skin, inviting you to run on the beach and play in the sand. I know that I hold on to every ray of sunshine I can. They make me smile.
This summer we have done more vacationing as a family than in the history of my existence. It’s been fabulous. We’ve been extremely frugal, trying to find ways to maximize our trips, we’ve stayed within budget and it hasn’t put a damper on the festivities at all.
Today we head out for the beach for one last hoorah of the summer.
Goodbye Popsicles on the porch, sun kissed noses, deeply tanned skin, camping in the woods, fishing in the pond, lazy 9am mornings, picnics under the Japanese maple.
Hello crisp mornings, puffs of breath in the air, tall boots, scarves, massive leaf piles to jump in, hot cocoa, homework, snuggling under big blankets, hearty soups with a good book…
