Of Food and Love

I’m a huge proponent of making gifts. Huge. I stress myself out around the highly celebrated holidays to make sure teachers and bus drivers have handmade gifts. To me, making something for someone else shows how much you care…but that’s just me. So, for this Mother’s Day, I’m on the hunt for cute ideas under $25 to give to my mom, his mom and other special moms in my life. Not sure I’ll be able to pull it all off, but, I would LOVE to make or even receive one of these:

Or a personalized silhouette (you can have someone do it for only $20)

These are beautiful gifts that I’m sure any mother would love. I know I would!! And what I love most is that my children can participate in making these, or picking out the special photo to be made into a silhouette, or choosing the perfect colors for the spools of thread AND the fact that just about any dad (skilled or not) can make each of these gifts happen, too.
Making things for others makes me giddy.
